In these fast-paced times, where images have a fleeting and easily forgettable existence, the group Dibujatoelrato Sinparar proposes the creation of hand-drawn portraits in public spaces framed within a slower, more deliberate process than the simple click of a camera. They use a physical medium that allows the moment to be preserved and cherished, giving the portrait lasting value amid the digital rush. Will you be able to resist taking a photo of the final result with your phone?

Dibujatolrato Sinparar is an open, self-managed group made up of people who share a passion for drawing and connect with each other and with their surrounding communities through the practice of drawing out in the streets. They have been meeting every Monday of the year since 2014, not only to draw together but also to highlight the value of their environment, including the realities of the neighborhoods of Bilbao La Vieja, San Francisco and Zabala. Dibujatolrato takes to the streets, experiments, and engages socially and culturally, with the support of Wikitoki.
