••Getxophoto Channel on Filmin
You already know that, even if you’re far away, you can experience Getxophoto from home through the internet. We recommend visiting Filmin, searching for the Getxophoto Channel, and checking out the films selected by journalist and Head of Culture at Cadena SER, Pepa Blanes—there’s a bit of everything, and it’s all neatly organized into sections!
You can enjoy the La imagen y sus consecuencias section, featuring films like the recently released Black Box Diaries (2024) by Shiori Ito or Network (1976), a classic by Sidney Lumet about the power of television, ratings, and, of course, images. In Detener la memoria, you’ll find gems like All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (2022), a marvelous and haunting documentary by Laura Poitras about Nan Goldin. Grabarse a uno mismo para entender mejor el mundo includes films such as The Super 8 Years (2022), an extraordinary work by Annie Ernaux and her son, David Ernaux-Briot, in which the writer revisits memories through home videos. And finally, in Reimaginar las normas, we find the greatest film in cinema history according to Sight & Sound, Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles (1976) by Chantal Akerman, which explores the often stifling domestic world of women, or the groundbreaking Tangerine (2015) by Sean Baker, who used new technology in 2015 to tell the story of a trans woman sex worker.
All this and much more on our Getxophoto channel on Filmin. Check it out!
